The Smurfs

When the smurf movie came out last summer, I had two requests for smurf cakes. One for my 10 year old niece and one for a 42 year-old man! lol The one was for my niece was first and the second was a little more elaborate. Who doesn't love the smurfs, right??!! I didn't love them so much when I was in the middle of making them. Those little faces were tricky. In the end though I love all the little details.

Daisy's 4th Birthday

For Daisy's fourth birthday she chose a Disney Princess themed party. We had plenty of princess decor so I wanted her cake to just be a fancy cake that she would love. And she did! This poor cake had to travel a long way to the party and by the time we arrived it was a little lop-sided! It still tasted great though!

Zebra Cakes

Zebra Cakes are so popular lately! Here are a few that I made.

3rd Birthday Princess Party

This cake was for a little princess! Once again, I love when a client gives me the liberty to be creative! I made the tiara out of gumpaste and then painted it with a mixture of silver lusterdust and vodka. I definitely didn't make much money per hour on this one, but I loved the finished product!

Bridal Shower Cake

This cake was for a bridal shower. The colors were Ruby Red, Ivory, and Gold. I had free reign to choose the design. I wanted to try something differentand I love how the swags turned out! It's amazing what all you can learn on You-tube! It was actually a pretty easy technique.

Poker themed 30th birthday cake

This cake was for a friend who was turning 30! He's a poker player, so his wife threw him a poker party! It was a lemon cake with lemon filling and a lemon buttercream--the birthday boy's favorite!

My Son's First Birthday

We chose a farm theme for my sweet little boy's first birthday. This party was so fun to create!  The fondant animals on the cake were very time consuming, but they really made the cake! The piggy cake was his smash cake. :)

Bumble Bee themed first birthday

This cake was made for a sweet one year old girl. Her mom found a diaper cake that she loved and asked if I could turn that into a real cake. It was probably one of the easiest cakes I have done! I used real ribbon and a silk flower from Micheals. I was able to enjoy the party with my friend's family. They all had fun trying to come up with names for my new cake business! It was a wonderful day!

My first stacked cake

I made this cake for a sweet friend's granddaughter's 2nd birthday. The request was for pink and purple and a frog princess. I think I pulled it off! This was my first attempt at stacking a cake. I was nervous about it, but all went well!

My First Cake

This is the cake and cupcakes I made for my daughter's 3rd birthday! It was fun and time consuming! I felt pretty proud of myself and my family was impressed that I made everything. Most of all my daughter loved her monkey cake and I proved to myself that i could do it!
